It surprised me when I met my current partner how perfect he was for me. He’s not perfect for everyone but all of the flaws that he has are perfectly matched with things that I feel are my strengths so we balance each other out. There were also a couple of compromises that I’ve made to my initial list of qualities I was looking for because I realized some were not really that important to me after all once I met him (like superficial things). So it’s great to know what you want but also be open to changing your mind because you never know who could surprise you!

It's funny how I started watching you around 17, and now I'm 20 and your videos still have the same effect on me. I don't know what triggered me to start crying, but when you shared the nephew story all this built up pain in me just started pouring out. Maybe I realised I should be more compassionate with myself. You really made me have a big realisation. Thank you so much for being so loving and such a safe-space, it's incredible how your videos affect people❤‍🩹 I have stopped talking to my (step-)father for three years, and it's been especially hard for the past 6 months because he got back together with my mom. He has done many horrible things, and I'm tired of him getting excused and getting away with eyerything (especially with my mom). My resolve to not talk to him has really caused tensions in my family, and I just realised I am so tired of being angry. I am tired of holding him or anyone accountable. It's not fair what he has been doing the past two decades, with no apology, and although I wished everyone would see it, I am tired of carrying this burden with me. And maybe I should let myself be free; it isn't my responsibility to condemn him, I am not responsible for his abuse. I'm sharing this realisation out of need, but I hope it resonates with someone. As someone who is going to be entering my 20s i am at a stage where it all feels so odd and confusing but am aware this feeling or feelings will pass. lately i have been experiencing major impostor syndrome and all the points you went over have really hit where it needed too. I appreciate people who speak from their heart and are willing to be vulnerable and to have a space for those who may feel similar. We are all dealing with different aspects in this life but in so many ways we are connected by similar experiences and knowledge. I hope you have a beautiful day and keep it up with your videos :)

I just graduated after 7 years of struggling through undergrad with the anxiety that I'm "falling behind" - I hope to center myself in understanding that I'm exactly where I want - and need - to be.. I realized I've been pushing down some personal desires for the sake of 'success', but I'm ready now. I want to pursue the things that have always scared me, because I can trust myself. Hi Leah, this is my two cents after listening to you talk about your nephew: you shouldn't really base your decision to have children or not on your experience with a toddler. When you have a child, you're not just creating a smol cute human, you're creating someone that will become an adult and grow old, and so many people only envision the cute baby years when they decide to have children, but it is important to think long-term when it comes to this.
